Indie Band Comes to Kirksville

Indie rock band Not a Planet stopped by KTRM for a quick interview before they opened for indie duo Matt & Kim on September 26. Members Nathan Corsi, Liam Sumnicht, William Sturges and Chase Horseman talked about everything from their musical influences and early memories to hunting anteaters and writing code all in about 20 minutes. The band also played two songs off their debut album The Few, The Proud, The Strange – “Greatest Show On Earth” and “Free to Be Chained” — as well as an older song called “Walk My Way.” Not a Planet was formed in Kansas City and was voted Best Rock Band in KC’s 2013 Pitch Music Awards.
